Julia Spong is a visual artist who lives and works in the small seaside town of Koksijde, Belgium.

Julia is the granddaughter of abstract expressionist artist, Laura Spong. She has always had a keen interest in the arts, studying architectural history in university and taking studio courses.

Her art reflects a love for color and form, with bright hues and bold shapes. She paints mostly representational pieces, while blurring the line between reality, dream worlds, and memories.

Recurring themes include nature, her childhood in South Carolina, and her love for the female figure.
